The Birds' bats were quiet in Tulsa on Thursday as Springfield fell in game two of the Texas League playoffs.

Results from games played Thursday, September 6.

Tulsa 3 vs. Springfield 0

Springfield's offense never got going as they were shut out at Tulsa 3-0 to even their first-round Texas League playoff series at a game apiece.

The S-Cards managed just four hits and went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Jermaine Curtis singled twice and Xavier Scruggs had the squad's only extra-base hit, a double.

The Cardinals fell behind early as the Drillers had a solo shot in the first off starter Seth Maness. Maness took the loss, yielding three tallies on six hits and a rare free pass in six innings. The right-hander had 10 ground outs, two fly outs and two strikeouts. Reliever Michael Blazek kept Tulsa off the board over the final two frames.
