The St. Louis Cardinals minor league hitting coordinator discusses a number of offensive standouts from the upper levels of play.
St. Louis Cardinals minor league hitting coordinator Derrick May was recently kind enough to give us 20 minutes of his time to review the progress made by a number of hitters across the system during the 2013 season.

In his role as a hitting coach rover, May has the unique opportunity to visit every level in the organization multiple times each season, so is a great source to gauge player improvement. Assisting the team hitting coach at each stop, May's objective is to help each young man realize his offensive potential.
In the following exclusive audio interview, the first of a two-part series, May starts with how he approaches his job before diving in to hitters from the four full-season clubs – Triple-A, Double-A, A-Advanced and Class-A.
In part two, we will pick up the discussion with focus on standouts from the four short-season clubs.
