Cards prospect interview: Kenny Peoples-Walls

The newly-named TCN Johnson City Player of the Year speaks from instructional league camp in Jupiter, Florida

Despite being just 20 years old, Kenny Peoples-Walls has finished his third year in the St. Louis Cardinals system and is a veteran of the fall instructional league.

This time, his status is different for several reasons, however.

First of all, the right-handed hitter is coming off a breakout season offensively. In addition, the former shortstop is learning to play the outfield in instructs.

Peoples-Walls finished 2013 in the top 10 in the Appalachian League in batting average, slugging and OPS and was a member of the rookie league's All-Star team. The Los Angeles native was rewarded with a late-season promotion to State College, where he observed the New York-Penn League playoffs.

In the following exclusive interview, our Johnson City Cardinals Player of the Year discusses the above subjects and more.
