Though he has yet to receive his first career win, it is more a function of the fact his innings were held in check than any question about his capabilities. In 22 innings over eight outings, including five starts, Kaminsky's ERA was 3.68. He fanned 28 and walked nine, giving up just one home run.
Perhaps tiring a bit, Kaminsky allowed eight of his nine runs in his final two outings, as he took two of his three losses. Still, overall, it was a very solid introduction.
During the recently-completed instructional league, Kaminsky spoke about his pre-draft activity, some prejudices against him and his first summer as a professional baseball player.
