Results from game played Thursday, October 9th.

Peoria 11, Scottsdale 2

Javelinas hitters were ready, plating four in the first and going on to an 11-2 win over Scottsdale on Thursday. Peoria improved its record to 2-1 in the process.

Top Cleveland prospect Francisco Lindor was the offensive star, going 4-for-6, including a double and home run. The shortstop stole a base, scored twice and plated three.

Lindor was not alone as all nine Peoria starters had at least one hit and seven scored at least once. That included the Cardinals’ Jacob Wilson, who batted eighth as the designated hitter. Wilson doubled, plated two and scored twice.

First baseman Cody Stanley entered the game in the third as a pinch runner and went 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Cardinals reliever Chris Perry pitched a scoreless ninth, tiptoeing around a pair of walks to start the inning.

Braves pitcher Aaron Northcraft started and threw three scoreless innings to claim the victory. The losing pitcher was Scottsdale’s Ryan O’Sullivan (Phillies).

Friday’s game: vs. Salt River, 12:35 pm MST, RHP Tyrell Jenkins (STL) (0-0, ---) starting for the Javelinas
