Seven S-Cards Named Texas League All-Stars

Three position players, all starters, and four pitchers will represent Springfield as Texas League All-Stars.

Seven Springfield Cardinals have been named to the 25-man Texas League North Division All-Star Team for 2015. The group consists of three position players, all named starters in the game, and four pitchers.

They are catcher Michael Ohlman and outfielders Jeremy Hazelbaker and Charlie Tilson along with pitchers Kyle Barraclough, Joey Donofrio, Arturo Reyes and Chris Thomas. The latter was added to the team replacing a since-promoted selectee.

Four of the Springfield seven are first-time all-stars in the Cardinals system. 2014 honorees were Tilson (Florida State League mid-season and post-season), Reyes (Midwest League) and Donofrio, a Texas League repeater from last summer. Of the seven, four - Ohlman, Tilson, Donofrio and Thomas - were with Springfield to open the season, with the others having joined as a free agent signee (Hazelbaker) or via promotion from Palm Beach (Barraclough and Reyes).

The 2015 Texas League All-Star Game will be played in Corpus Christi, Texas on Tuesday, June 30 with the North facing the home South. The latter roster includes former S-Card Colin Walsh. Full rosters can be seen here.

In 2014, the Cards had six Texas League All-Stars, including Kyle Hald and Jonathan Rodriguez, both of whom are back with Springfield today, but not selected again in 2015. Starters were James Ramsey (injured) and Cody Stanley. Donofrio and Marco Gonzales were voted onto the team, but had already been promoted to Memphis so did not participate.
