Cardinals Minors Pitching Plans: 03/26-28/16

St. Louis Cardinals minor league pitching plans at spring training camp in Jupiter, Florida.

Though I had to head home from St. Louis Cardinals spring training camp in Jupiter, Florida, I know many of you get to stay on for some or all of the final week of games.

For your enjoyment, the following is the starting pitching plans for the extended weekend.

Saturday’s camp day features two top prospects dueling in Alex Reyes and Marco Gonzales.

The Cards hope to play five games on the Miami side of the complex on Sunday. Top 40 pitchers Junior Fernandez and Trey Nielsen are among those scheduled to appear.

Monday will bring another split day against the Mets. Ex-Met Jeremy Hefner and Mike Mayers will pitch on the road while Daniel Poncedeleon and Brennan Leitao will start at home for Palm Beach and Peoria, respectively.

Following that, just three days of spring training action will remain for the minor leaguers.

All games are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. – with the usual disclaimers that the weather takes precedent over all matters – both whether games are held and what time they are played. One must remain flexible.

Following are the starters. The innings will be filled in by a number of relievers to be determined.
