Wednesday’s St. Louis Cardinals prospect highlights from the Arizona Fall League and a look ahead to Thursday’s action.

Harrison Bader walked, singled and scored a run in Glendale’s 6-1 victory over the Salt River Rafters on Wednesday afternoon.

St. Louis Cardinals outfield prospect Harrison Bader saw action on Wednesday afternoon as Glendale defeated Salt River by the score of 6-1.  The right hander played center field and hit cleanup for the Desert Dogs.  Bader grounded into a force out in the first to end the inning.  In his next at bat in the fourth, Bader drew a walk and scored on a double to left field.  Bader lined out in the sixth, and in the ninth he singled to left but was out at second when the next batter grounded into a double play.


Bader ended the day 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored and is batting .367 in 28 at bats in the AFL.  He has one home run, five RBI and has fanned seven times and walked three times. 

On defense, Bader made three putouts in center field. He was the only Cardinal who saw action Wednesday.

Thursday’s game:  vs. Mesa, Chris Anderson (0-2, 18.00) 12:35 MST.
