Wednesday’s St. Louis Cardinals prospect highlights from the Arizona Fall League and a look ahead to Thursday’s action.

Harrison Bader was the only Cardinals prospect in action for Glendale in Wednesday’s win over Salt River. The outfielder drove in four of Glendale’s 10 runs.

Glendale slugged its way to a 10-0 victory over Salt River on Wednesday, aided by four RBI off the bat of St. Louis Cardinals outfield prospect Harrison Bader.  The outfielder was 2-for-4 with two runs scored in addition to the four runs driven in.  Bader is currently batting .310, with two homers and 11 RBI.


After lining out to center in his initial at bat in the second inning, Bader was hit by a pitch in the fourth and later came around to score on a single by Glendale teammate and Nationals’ shortstop prospect Osvaldo Abreu.    Bader singled in the fifth inning, plating Dodgers prospect Cody Bellinger and the Astros’ Nick Tanielu.  In the sixth, the right-handed hitter tripled to center field, scoring Bellinger as well as the Nationals’ Drew Ward.  Bader struck out looking in his final at bat in the eighth inning.

Bader played right field and had two putouts on defense.

Thursday’s game:  vs. Surprise, Austin Gomber (4-0, 1.99) 12:35 MST.
