Matt Morris fans nine in the losing cause

April 7, 2005 - JUPITER, FL – Jupiter Hammerheads' third baseman Lee Mitchell went 2-4 with a double, a home run, and two RBI in Thursday night's 4-3 victory over Palm Beach. Starting Hammerheads' pitcher James Russ opened the season with a dominant performance. Mitchell's home run in the 8th off Cardinals' reliever Wayne Lundgren (0-1) sealed the victory for Jupiter.

St. Louis Cardinals' pitcher Matt Morris, making his first of two rehab starts, allowed five hits and two earned runs over four innings, while fanning nine.
