Memphis Loses Fourth Straight Game, 6-2


Oklahoma City, OK - Oklahoma right-hander Kameron Loe pitched seven strong innings of one-run ball while striking out seven for Oklahoma, showing he can hold a lead for the RedHawks. Brandon Berger homered off Loe in the fourth inning.

Oklahoma opened a 2-0 lead on a RBI groundout by Ian Kinsler in the second inning and a run-scoring double by Cody Ransom in the third.

Gerald Laird hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning and finished 3-for-4 on the night. Jason Botts closed the scoring for Oklahoma with a two-run homer in the eighth inning. RedHawks leadoff hitter Andres Torres went 4-for-5 to raise his average to .302. The Redbirds scored the second run on a Scott Seabol sacrifice fly in the eighth inning.

Memphis travels to New Orleans for four games starting on Wednesday at 11:35 p.m. CDT.
