"Nothing minor about minor league baseball"
By John Heiderscheit, Quad-City Times

(The Birdhouse News) Per the Quad-Cities Online, home of The Dispatch, the St. Louis Cardinals have activated Rick Ankiel from the DL and reassigned him from the Springfield Cardinals to the Swing of the Quad Cities. Mr. Ankiel is expected to report in time for this evening's game against the Lansing Lugnuts.
Since the Swing are currently at the 25-man roster maximum, a corresponding transaction will need to take place to clear a roster spot for Ankiel.
