The Springfield Cardinals Report

The Texas League All-Star game will be played at 7 p.m., tonight, in Frisco, Texas, and will include four members of the Springfield Cardinals. Tyler Minges and Travis Hanson will be starting in the outfield and third base, respectively, while Robinson Cancel and Randy Leek will start the game on the bench.

The game will be televised nationally on FOX Sports (except in Springfield, Missouri, due to the St. Louis Cardinal game with Cincinnati). On Direct TV and Dish it will be shown on FOX Sports Southwest as well as a few other FOX affiliates. These channels are not included in the basic packages with Dish or Direct TV. Customers must call and order these channels as a part of the FOX Sports Package at $12 per month. According to Dish and Direct TV, the package can be canceled any time (tomorrow) and the price will be pro-rated. The Springfield Cardinals assume no responsibility regarding the purchase of the All-Star Game.

For those in the Springfield area who do not have the sports package, the game will be tape-delayed and will be shown Wednesday night on Fox Sports Midwest (check local listings for times).

Minor League Baseball says that there will be some sort of web cast (video or audio). As of this report, MLB was not sure which would be available but assured fans that one or the other would be available through their website at www.milb.com.

The game will be broadcast live on JOCK 98.7. The Springfield Cardinals plan to post a link directly to the live feed from www.milb.com as soon as it is available from Minor League Baseball. The link will be available at www.springfieldcardinals.com.
