JS (27): "Baseball America says that Wilson's fastball sits in the low-to-mid 90s and that his curveball shows the makings of becoming a plus pitch. His stats weren't great for Johnson City in 2005, but that really isn't much of a sample size. At 19, he has the potential to move up the list quite a bit by next season."

LM (18): "As you can see I placed Mr. Wilson a bit higher than did some of my colleagues. Pitching in a hitter's park, Wilson held opposing batters to a .250 average and 1.35 WHIP. His 4.22 earned run average led the Johnson City rotation. He was also the fourth highest groundball starter in the Cardinals' minor league system this season. Wilson turned 19 in September which places him as the third youngest, barely, pitcher on the staff. As a second round pick in the 2005 draft, his projected upside is considerable."

RM (27): "A second round draft choice out of high school, Wilson finished his first season at Johnson City with a 2-2 record and a 4.22 ERA. He will need some time to develop. At this time it still is very early to tell how good he is going to be, but based on his potential, that justified the Cardinals in taking him in the second round, you have to keep him on the Top 40 list until he proves he doesn't belong there. He hasn't done that yet."

BW (28): "It is early, really early. As an 18-year-old, Wilson held his own at Johnson City after being drafted in the second round this past June. I will be looking to see if Wilson can increase his strikeouts (from 5.40 per nine innings) and decrease his walks (3:2 strikeout to walk ratio) next season."
