JS (11): "A recent addition to the Cardinals 40-man roster, Ryan will get a look at second base in spring training, according to a recent report in the Springfield News-Leader. It's hard to imagine Ryan making the Cardinals opening day roster though. I see him beginning the season at Springfield and working his way up to Memphis sometime later in the season."

LM (20): "This is another case in which I want a "do-over". I think Ryan should be ranked about #15 instead of #20 where I put him. In any event, he put up good numbers while at Palm Beach in a pitcher's league, .303/.355/.410/.765 although he spent almost a month on the disabled list. While his overall numbers at Springfield are not sparkling he did go .330/.413/.440/.853, 30-for-91, the final month of the season. I look forward to seeing what he can do in 2006 when he is not battling a lingering leg injury as he did in 2005."

RM (13): "Played 43 games at AA Springfield after hitting .303 in 49 games at High A Palm Beach. He has a strong arm, quickness and good defensive instincts and he is expected to continue to move up through the organization as a shortstop. He is considered athletic enough to play other positions, but his lack of power will most likely keep him at short or maybe second base. Ryan struggled with a hamstring injury earlier in the season, but is expected to be 100% healthy when the season starts. In November he was added to the Cardinals 40 man roster."

BW (10): "I was initially not sold on Ryan, but have come around. Ryan handled his first taste of Double-A well after his mid-season call up. He has shown a good batting average with a combined .308 mark as a professional. Inconsistent defense is a bit of a concern, but Ryan certainly deserves to be in the top 20. His promise was rewarded with his addition to the Cardinals' 40-man roster this past fall."
