Post of the Week – January 8 - 14

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our fine message board community of Cardinals fans the world over.

Selecting this week's "Post of the Week" from our fine message board was the most difficult decision of any I've had to make so far. There were a number of excellent posts not limited to the following:

Jmodene1 and bicyclemike did a great job breaking down the Cardinals' past closers and managers, respectively, in the "Hall of Fame" thread. C2kSix's reply in the "Tavarez Signs" thread was also especially noteworthy. Bokonon2 did a great analysis on steroids and analysis of each of Mark McGwire's seasons, and newcomer AfWilli255 also had a very informative point of view about Big Mac on that same thread.

Another new community member, nmc79, shared information about Bert Blyleven and Goose Gossage and the Hall of Fame. Finally, C2kSix researched a number of Rule 5 draftee Juan Mateo's starts last year and delivered a particularly insightful analysis of what he learned.

Any of these might well have been a very deserving winner in past weeks, but C2kSix receives the nod for Week 13, January 8 through 14, because he had two posts that were especially worthy of recognition this time around.

Congratulations, C2kSix and keep making the competition tougher for everyone with your fine posts!

In recognition, C2kSix wins a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
