Hope & Ladd Join Springfield's Front Office

Only 76 days until Opening Day!

The Springfield Cardinals are proud to welcome two new family members. Hope Hunt and Tom Ladd, both of whom have strong basketball ties to the Springfield community, have joined the Cardinals Front Office.

Hunt, who recently graduated from Drury University with a Masters in Business Administration, joins the Redbirds as the Office Services Coordinator. A member of the Drury Lady Panthers basketball team since their inaugural 2000 season, Hunt played five years for a Drury club that made three straight appearances in the NCAA-II national tournament.

"I'm very excited to be part of the Springfield Cardinals family and become part of another successful team," said Hunt.

The Nixa native is third on Drury's all-time scoring list (1,350 career points), and ranks in their top five in five major categories, including first in career three pointers (213). In addition to being on the All American Honorable Mention list for two straight years, she is also an Academic All American.

The Voice of the Lady Bears, Tom Ladd joins the Cardinals after 11 years with Meyer Communications, serving as the Operations Manager, as well as the Station Manager for JOCK 98.7 FM. A lifelong Cardinals fan, Tom will assume the position of Sales Manager with the Springfield Cardinals.

"I'm overwhelmed to be part of the Cardinals team here in Springfield," said Ladd. "I'm truly living a dream. I appreciate everything that Ken Meyer and everyone at Meyer Communications did for me and my family. I'm also thankful for all the support I've received from my wife, Sharon and two kids, Holly and Skyler."

Ladd is in his 11th season of calling Missouri State games and will continue to be the Voice of the Lady Bears. "Being in radio 19 years, it's always hard to change careers, but it's easier knowing that I'll continue to call games for the Lady Bears and that I'm working in my ultimate dream job."
