From today's edition of the Chicago Sun-Times -
‘IN THE BALANCE: Former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jason Simontacchi, who signed with the Cubs as a minor-league free agent Feb. 2, is on his way to visit Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., and seems questionable for spring training. Just before camp opened this week, Simontacchi felt discomfort in his right shoulder. He had surgery in that shoulder after playing in 13 games for the Cardinals during the 2004 season. He didn't pitch last season.'
