Many weeks, there are a large number of strong posts that make the decision to choose the best very difficult. Other times, there are fewer posts, but none stand out over the others. That was not the problem this week.
This week's "Post of the Week" a no-brainer, as for the first time I can recall, three of the six posts I tagged during the course of the week were from a single poster. Our winner this week is "SydneyDave".
On the third page of the six-page thread called "Congratulations to Walt", Dave provides a view of second half (or post All-Star break) statistics for the Cardinals key offensive players.
SydneyDave's next standout performance came on the first page of the thread "Walt's 2006 Gamble", where gave direction to the thread with a thoughtful analysis of Walt Jocketty's game plan building his Cardinals teams.
Dave's third winner came on page one of the thread entitled "what to do to get to the playoffs?". Here the crowning achievement was a clear, insightful presentation of the starters' runs allowed per nine innings in 2006 compared to 2005.
There were other good posts last week, too. A new poster, "SoonerinNC" offered a nice first-hand scouting report of the Johnson City Cardinals in the new thread "JC Games".
Regular poster "BW23" did a great job explaining a complicated matter simply – the free agent compensation rules in the thread "Curiousity".
Finally, fpslackers receives an important honorable mention for updating his depth charts for all positions across the entire Cardinals minor league system. Hardly the work of a slacker! Great job! Details here: " Updated: Card's Minor League Depth Chart".
In recognition of his great week of posting, SydneyDave wins a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.
Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
