Post of the Week – August 6 through August 12

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of Cardinals fans the world over. The winner of this recognition receives a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other fine sites in the Scout.com network.

As is the case every week, this article calls out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Scout.com Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, August 12.

Apparently, many are hung over despite the non-exciting nature of the non-waiver trade deadline last week. There seemed to be fewer posts overall last week, and certainly a lower percentage that offered meaningful information rather than just complaining. Yet, there were posts worthy of recognition.

This week's "Post of the Week" is awarded to "irrigator5", a past winner, too. Inspired by an ESPN story, he analyzed back-up scenarios if a number of Cardinals front-liners are injured in the thread called "Worst case scenario".

There were other solid posts last week. While our moderators are ineligible to win here, I need to acknowledge "Gagliano" for a number of insightful (not inciteful!) posts. One such example is the new thread "next year's 40-man". This one has almost 1000 views and is still running strong.

Finally, a newer poster, "jakehawk19", receives his first honorable mention for his analysis of what the Cardinals need to do to prepare for October here: "Stretch Run".

In recognition of his fine post, irrigator5 wins a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
