Post of the Week – Sept. 3 through Sept. 9

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of Cardinals fans the world over. The winner of this recognition receives a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other fine sites in the Scout.com network.

As is the case every week, this article calls out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Scout.com Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, September 9.

Our winner this week, "coopdeville25us", initiated a detailed sabermetric analysis of the three likely closer replacements for the injured Jason Isringhausen, Josh Hancock, Braden Looper and Adam Wainwright and comes up with a surprising conclusion here: "A case for Hancock" .

This week's honorable mentions include another of the interesting posts from regular "fpslackers". Check the thread "Next Year's 25-man", where one person's view of the Cardinals 2007 roster is broken down. A number of other posters added their views, too.

Finally, in the thread, "Rule 5 Question", reader "BleacherBum593" provided lists of potential Rule 5 eligible players and upcoming minor league free agents from the Cardinals minor league system.

In recognition of a fine post, coopdeville25us wins a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
