Post of the Week – Oct. 29 through Nov. 4

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of Cardinals fans the world over. The winner of this recognition receives a free four-week subscription to and all the other fine sites in the network.

As always, we call out the best of the best right here - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board, for the week ending Saturday, November 4.

The week began with a flurry of post-World Series posts as many offered their personal, heartfelt feelings about an occurrence that was new to a whole generation of Cardinals fans. As the seven days went on, discussion slowed and seemed to migrate to how the Cardinals front office should act to help do it again.

"Bokonon2" did a fine job of putting the criticism of the quality of the 2006 Cardinals into context in the thread "Keith Law", continuing the ongoing debate about the strength of the relationship between words "post-season" and "crapshoot".

As noted above, there has been an increased level of interest in what the Cardinals should do during this off-season. "fpslackers" began a new thread offering one view of what the priorities of the front office should be. Many, many others offered their perspectives, too, here: "The Cards' Offseason Plan". In fact, there have been 2500 views of this thread and 100 posts and still growing.

"Philzors" opened up and shared a set of personal experiences that showed how much a Cardinals Build-a-Bear for one person can provide hope for the efforts of 25 men competing on the field of play in the thread entitled: "The Power of Wishing".

"ibby001" offered a recap of Jeff Weaver's performance and transition from the Angels to the Cardinals and a reminder of what that meant here: "What I enjoy about this".

Our winning post this week came from "HotCorner27", who also had a fine post in the above thread which I think summed up the feelings of many people on what the 2006 World Championship meant to the best fans in baseball.

In recognition of a fine post, "HotCorner27" wins a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
