Post of the Week – Nov. 26 through Dec. 2

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of Cardinals fans the world over. The winner of this recognition receives a free four-week subscription to and all the other fine sites in the network.

As we do each and every week here at, we single out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, December 2.

During this week, there was an expected amount of excitement and in some cases, concern expressed over the four free agent signings – Adam Kennedy, Kip Wells, Gary Bennett and Eli Marrero.

Much of it was centered on the aptly-named thread "Cards sign Kennedy, Kip, Marrero and Bennett". On page six of the thread, there are three noteworthy posts by "Jmodene1", "highrent" and "cpebbles", discussing such matters as the futures of Adam Wainwright and Juan Encarnacion.

Our weekly winner this time around is on the previous page of the same thread. On page five, "haltz" makes a compelling sabermetrically-oriented comparison between Adam Kennedy and Aaron Miles.

But that wasn't the only noteworthy thread last week by any means. "Bokonon2" looked at owner affluence to help explain their puzzling financial actions on page one of the thread "New take on salary".

Reader "Oquendo11" started up the discussion about "How to use rookie pitchers?" with a good pros and cons analysis of the various ways to break in young arms.

"KCardinal" offered yet another perspective on how to rate and rank prospects, opening up the thread entitled "A Ceiling-Based Top Prospects List"

"DizzyDean17" reminded us that "Walt's time is nearing". Fortunately, he was referring to the GMs trade proclivity in December, not his passing!

Finally, "Batbird" spoke for many in reinforcing why "I hate Phil Rogers", ending a thread with a humorous list of qualifications to be a sportswriter for ESPN or Yahoo.

In recognition of a fine post, "haltz", a repeat winner, collects another free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
