Day two finds the players meeting at 9:15 for the daily roll call and the review of the plan of the day.
At 9:30 the players typically begin their 15 minute stretching program, players are broken down into two groups; Group one includes the players from Triple-A Memphis and Double-A Springfield, Group two includes the players from the high-A Palm Beach Cardinals and A-ball Swing of Quad Cities.
At 9:50 the pitchers and catchers go through their conditioning drills before breaking down into groups for training.
Wednesday training for the pitchers included, bunting discussions, Group 2 throwing 35-40 pitches, and doing ab work in the training room. Group 1 working on covering first base on a ball hit to the first baseman, and individual coaching as needed.
The catchers took batting practice, working on, bunting, hit and run, moving the runner, get em in, infield in and back and the squeeze play.
Defensively the catchers worked on making plays to all the bases on balls hit right in front of the plate.
