Cards Spring Working Minors Rosters: Pitchers

68 St. Louis Cardinals minor league pitchers have been assigned to working rosters during their minor league spring training camp in Jupiter, Florida.

The St. Louis Cardinals minor league camp came to life over the last few days with a first milestone represented by full squad workouts on Thursday, March 8. This represents the first time that players have begun to be segmented by club. Prior to now, pitchers were just broken into workout groups without necessarily being associated with a particular team.

Do not read too much into these preliminary rosters yet. With 90 pitchers across the major and minor league camps (along with five injured minor league pitchers), there is expected to be considerable adjustments by level, mostly downward.

However, do take note of the first splits offered between starters and relievers. While none of this is cast in concrete, there are some names previously known as starters who have now been identified as relievers for the first time.
