Here is the link to our new Message Board.
Just like the players they follow, our message board members seem to be rounding into regular-season form, with a growing number of notable posts each week.
Our winner from last week, "baseballatc", started a brand new thread called "Minor League Questions I want answers to", with an in-depth series of questions about Cardinals minor leaguers actions this coming season.
"How many pitches should a good pitcher pitch (innings really)" has been a very popular thread this week, begun by "photonblaster1234". The subject at hand is how many innings of pitching might be considered a good outing.
Regular "jmodene1" enhanced an existing discussion, "Gambling on the minor leagu(er)s". What began by guessing which minor league players might come up to the majors this season was enhanced by "jmodene1's" clarifications around the considerations for calling up players in September.
"fpslackers" is another familiar name around these parts. This week, slackers began a new thread called "Taking A Peak (sp) At 2008 ". The focus here is how the Cardinals roster and payroll might shake out next season.
The thread called "Cabrera anyone?" has had amazing legs, with almost 200 replies and still going strong. "TheUFan" started the discussion by wondering what it would take for the Cardinals to acquire Florida's star, Miguel Cabrera. "Fan" followed with another fine post, as did fellow fan "Oquendo11" on page three.
In another close contest with so many excellent contenders, our winner this week is "C2kSeven", who started a thread that echoes the worries of many in the Cardinals Nation after the first week of the season. "My Concerns" hits on most all of the apparent weaknesses exhibited by the 2007 Cardinals in the early going. Most of the other contributions on that thread are also well worth a read.
"C2kSeven" collects a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.
Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
