Post of the Week – April 22 through April 28

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over.

As we do each and every week here at, we call out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, April 28.

Here is the link to the Message Boards, of which there are several – for fantasy players, insider information for subscribers, general topics, non-Cardinals sports and more.

A frequent winner of this recognition, "CariocaCardinal", continues an impressive run of informative posts. The notable thread initiated this time has a very long name, but it is very descriptive as to its focus. "Ludwick, options, and why NOW is the best time to bring him up". That pretty much says it all, as a strong case is built as to why outfielder Ryan Ludwick should take the trek from Memphis to St. Louis.

"baseballatc", another past winner, has issued a strong message to one candidate to be displaced by Ludwick or a new outfielder in the new thread "Time's up Preston". A solid case was presented, added to by others, as to why the outfielder might be the one to cut loose from the organization.

You don't have to start a new thread to be a contributor to the board. "iwtflja" joined the "Ank 3-3 Tonight" thread near the bottom of the page with an analysis of why the Cardinals need a run-producing right fielder and how they might fill the need.

Another self-explanatory thread title is "Why haven't we traded reyes?". Again, at the end of some interesting posts, "UncleBuck44" outlines the similarities as well as the differences between the Anthony Reyes situation of today and the Danny Haren one of previous years.

Due to the strength of the Ludwick post, our winner this week is again "CariocaCardinal", who collects a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
