The Cardinals will begin a mini-camp in Florida on Monday and they hope to have several players drafted in this year's draft agree to terms and be in camp next week.

The organization will be stocking three short-season teams to include; the Batavia Muckdogs (SS-A), Johnson City Cardinals (Rookie) and the new Gulf Coast Cardinals (Rookie) before their seasons begin either on June 19th or June 20th.

The Cardinals' top draft pick, shortstop Pete Kozma, is slated to be assigned to Johnson City and the bulk of the senior college pitchers will be assigned to the short-season A-ball team, the Batavia Muckdogs.
