Cards Post of the Week – June 24 through 30

Recognizing the very best post of the past week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over.

As we do each and every week here at, we call out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, June 30.

Here is the link to the Message Boards, of which there are several – for fantasy players, insider information for subscribers, general topics, non-Cardinals sports and more.

"fpslackers" originated a discussion as to the identities of the "Midseason Top 20 Cardinal Prospects". Many weighed in, including "UncleBuck44", whose list included commentary on each player as well as slotting for the new 2007 draft picks.

"BeauHeart" and "DizzyDean17" had an engaging and informative dialogue in the thread "letter to the boss". On page three of the thread, reader "highrent" also added some noteworthy commentary. The subject of all this is the return of Rick Ankiel to the Major Leagues.

In the final post of the thread "Thursday, 6/28 MLB Thread - Game Officially Postponed", regular contributor "jmodene1" provided a detailed analysis of the rest of the Cardinals 2007 schedule to determine where a Mets make-up game might be held.

The knowledge shared on this board about the Cardinals system makes this destination second to none. One such eyewitness account offered in the last week was by a member who was able to check out the Palm Beach minor league affiliate as well as the new Gulf Coast League team in person. "UncleDenny's" detailed scouting report is located here: " Uncle Denny's Trip to Florida".

Because of his excellent report, "UncleDenny" is our weekly winner of the "Post of the Week". As such, "UncleDenny" collects a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
