Here is the link to the Message Boards, of which there are several – for fantasy players, insider information for subscribers, general topics, non-Cardinals sports and more.
"Pujols vs. A. Rod" was an interesting consideration for many fantasy baseball players prior to the season. If A-Rod makes $30 million starting in 2008 as rumored, Pujols at about 1/3 of that would be a huge bargain. "Whitey2001" looked at the two along with Barry Bonds in the context of the home run, with some interesting results.
"Oquendo11" is doing what many Cardinals fans are doing presently, meaning "Looking Ahead at the Deadline" thread. About halfway down the page, Jose's internet namesake offered a player-by-player analysis of possible Cardinals to be traded or not.
"baseballatc" opened a new thread called "Pitching staff moves coming" in which both Cardinals hurlers who might leave as well as advantageous trade targets were offered.
As is often the case on our board, Cardinals prospects are subjects of analysis, discussion and debate. One of the recent subjects is second baseman and recent Memphis call-up Jarrett Hoffpauir. "amateur Hoffpauir" is the thread title. Among the informative posts on page one were made by "fpslackers", "duckymedwick" and "easton714" as the thread morphed into where and how the Cards might use an "impact bat".
"Who Plays SS in 2008?" is a fair question what with incumbent David Eckstein oft injured and rookie Brendan Ryan getting his first tastes of MLB action. But, will either of them be "the man"? "cards13" kicked off the action, with "easton714" also making a very strong post on page two, analyzing the Atlanta Braves as a possible trade partner.
Due to two called out posts here, "easton714" is our weekly winner of the "Post of the Week". As such, "easton714" collects a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.
Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
