Dutchess Stadium, the home of the Hudson Valley Renegades (Tampa Bay), will play host to the third annual New York-Penn League All-Star Game on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 as the National League takes on the American League stars. Dew, the organization's 14th round selection from Troy University, has logged nine saves of the Muckdogs' 18 wins this season. The 22-year-old has struck out 19 batters while walking just three in 16 2/3 innings pitched and registered a 2.70 ERA.
Todd, the club's second-round pick from the University of Arkansas, has put up an impressive 2.94 ERA as a tandem starter. The 21-year-old has fanned 58 while walking only 12 batters in 49 innings over 12 games pitched. Todd has made six appearances as the first starter (75 pitches) and six as the second starter (65 pitches).
Brown, 21, joined the Cardinals as their 18th round pick this June out of the University of Nebraska. The right-handed hitting first baseman was named to the All-Star team as a utility player.
The 6-foot-0, 185 pound Brown has posted a .255/.335/.497 (AVG/OBP/SLG) line with five home runs and 26 RBI for the Muckdogs in 153 at-bats. Brown started slowly as a professional, hitting just .211 in June before putting together a solid .288 mark in July.
