The Tigers entire front office, which has been quiet on contract negotiations on all of their draft picks, will not comment or confirm anything.
However, according to various reports and sources, the Tigers have agreed to a 4-year, $7.28 million major league contract with Rick Porcello, the team's first round selection.
Signing a major league deal would stipulate that Porcello would immediately be placed on the team's 40-man roster.
Wednesday, August 15th is the last day for MLB teams to sign their draft picks. Teams will lose the rights of any players not signed after that day.
