Memphis Redbirds (Triple-A): Lost to Oklahoma 5-1
Starter Randy Keisler (L, 8-9) was tagged for five runs on seven hits while walking five and striking out four in 7.1 innings. Since the All-Star break, Keisler is 1-4 with a 4.56 ERA.
Not much offense Thursday, the recently acquired Brian Barden was the only player to have more than one hit, he went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI to drive in the only Memphis run. In his first three games for the Redbirds Barden is hitting .333 (4-for-12).

The idle Cardinals saw their lead in the Northern Division sink to just one-half a game ahead of Arkansas, as the Travelers beat the Hooks Thursday, 6-4.
The Cardinals have lost seven of their last 10 games.

Johnson City Cardinals (R) Winners 9-4 over Elizabethton
Starter Reynier Gonzalez gave up three runs, two earned, on five hits, three walks and four wild pitches while striking out one in four innings, for a no-decision. Reliever Ray Silva (W, 2-1) picked up the win with a scoreless frame in the fifth. Omar Javier earned his first save, pitching four innings, giving up just one run.

Starter Carlos Gonzalez (L, 3-1) suffered his first loss, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks, while striking out three over five complete innings.
The Cardinals could only manage to come up with three hits but still managed to score two runs
