Boggs and Hamilton Make AFL Debuts

Two more St. Louis Cardinals prospects get in the Arizona action.

Mitchell Boggs made his Arizona Fall League debut by getting the start on Wednesday. Boggs was impressive, throwing three hitless innings while getting two strikeouts. Jarrett Hoffpauir singled and drew a base on balls. Designated hitter Joe Mather went hitless in three at bats.

Thursday's action saw the AFL debut of first baseman Mark Hamilton. Hamilton went hitless in one official at bat but did get credited with a walk and a run scored. The other two Cardinal farmhands, Hoffpauir and Mather, were a combined 0-for-6.

Starting pitcher Stuart Pomeranz is the only Cardinal to not see any action in the first three games.
