Cards Post of the Week – Nov. 11 through 17

Recognizing the very best post of the past week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over.

As we do each and every week here at, we call out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board.

Here is the link to the Message Boards, of which there are several – for fantasy players, insider information for subscribers, general topics, non-Cardinals sports and more.

This article covers the week ending Saturday, November 17.

Make sure that when you visit our board, you join in our community ranking of the Cardinals top 50 prospects. Anyone can vote on each of the athletes in this reader-run countdown. It is the original - often imitated, but never duplicated. You can catch the current listing here: "2008 Community Top 50 Prospects". "fpslackers" is running the polling.

A new concept to the board was launched this week by "DizzyDean17". Community members can specify what stats they believe Cardinals stars will register in 2008. Dizzy will be tracking everyone's views for post-season review. The series begins with catcher Yadier Molina. Join in now! "2008 Community Player Projections - Molina".

Probably the biggest news story of the week affecting the Cardinals was the confirmation that third baseman Scott Rolen wants to be traded and that the club is trying to accommodate him. On page six of the thread "Rolen- Wants Out- Willing to Waive No Trade Clause", "Catman61" offered several strong posts. The one that really stands out is a comparison of Albert Pujols' and Houston Astros' Carlos Lee's contracts.

Please remember that whenever you read a notable post from a member of the community, call it out on the stickeyed "Post of the Week" thread at the top of the message board. That way, we can be sure to take it into account in this process.

For the post noted above, "Catman61" is our latest winner of the "Post of the Week" award. In recognition, "Catman61" collects a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
