Cards Post of the Week – Jan. 6 through 12

Recognizing the very best post of the past week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over.

As we do each and every week here at, we call out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board.

Here is the link to the Message Boards, of which there are several – for fantasy players, insider information for subscribers, general topics, non-Cardinals sports and more.

This article covers the week ending Saturday, January 12.

A big National League Central Division signing this last week was centerfielder Mike "Cameron" in Milwaukee. On page one, "cards13" considered the challengers in the 2008 Cardinals outfield and voted that passing on Cameron was preferred.

Another top Cardinals prospect list came out last week, this one by John Sickels. The thread "Sickels' Top 20 for the Cardinals" discussed that list. "UncleBuck44" compared the number of prospects rated better than "C" by organization. The Cardinals came out favorable in the analysis.

A fun thread entitled "Minor league lineups and rotations?" was started by "thejager". A number of readers offered their ideas on the possible construction of various Cardinals minor league lineups in 2008. Later on that same page, "CariocaCardinal" provided a particularly interesting view.

"CariocaCardinal" also began a thread called "Mo's latest interim report card" in which the actions of the Cardinals new general manager were rated by various readers.

For the above posts, "CariocaCardinal" is the latest winner of the "Post of the Week" award. In recognition, "Carioca" collects a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
