On Friday, all St. Louis Cardinals minor league clubs has a "camp" day, meaning no scheduled games against outside competition. So, instead, they took it out on each other. Three games were held with the Cardinals winners every time!
Saturday's opponents for the Cardinals minor leaguers will be the Florida Marlins' teams once again. This time, all the Cardinals clubs are "home", while the visitors have to walk a few hundred feet farther from their side of the Roger Dean Stadium complex in Jupiter, Florida.

game" for Quad Cities 1, allowing just one hit and no walks over four innings.

Mike Parisi took the loss with all four runs allowed, three earned in 4.1 innings. He yielded seven hits, but didn't walk anyone. Parisi fanned two Double-A hitters. Trey Hearne contributed a pair of perfect innings in relief.

Cody Haerther was the offensive leader for
Palm Beach 7,
For the winners, Shaun Garceau went 3.1 innings and was charged with a pair of runs. He allowed three hits and two walks and fanned five. Francisco Samuel contributed a perfect inning in which two of the three outs were punchouts.
Quad Cities starter J.D. Stambaugh yielded just one run in four innings. He walked no one, scattered five hits and fanned three. The game got away from Eduardo Sanchez, who was touched for four runs in 1/3 of an inning.

Outfielder Charlie Kingrey collected the only extra base hit on either side, a double.
