Cards Post of the Week – April 13 through 19

Recognizing the very best post of the past week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over.

As we do each and every week here at, we call out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our St. Louis Cardinals message board.

Here is the link to the Message Boards, of which there are several – for fantasy players, insider information for subscribers, general topics, non-Cardinals sports and more.

This article covers the week ending Saturday, April 19.

Near the bottom of page three of the thread called "Upgrading the 2008 squad", reader "brianpnoonan" took a look at the outfield situation and concluded why top prospect Colby Rasmus is in Triple-A.

Speaking of Colby, "RCWarrior" provided a coach's view of different aspects in how to approach an at-bat, using the outfielder as the reference point here: "Colby Rasmus Interview".

The thread called "Tejada's Age" began with the inevitable comments about the Astros' recent acquisition and went on to a very interesting debate over whether athletes from Latin American countries are exploited.

The Post of the Week is actually about five of them. "ambill10" began a thread entitled "Pitcher's Under Contract and Possible Excess of Them". There, a number of pertinent details about the members of the Cardinals starting rotation were presented, setting up three pages of discussion about what the club might do with them.

In recognition, "ambill10" is our winner of "Post of the Week". He collects a free four-week subscription extension to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
