Cards Post of the Week – April 20 through 26

Recognizing the very best post of the past week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over.

As we do each and every week here at, we call out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our St. Louis Cardinals message board.

Here is the link to the Message Boards, of which there are several – for fantasy players, insider information for subscribers, general topics, non-Cardinals sports and more.

This article covers the week ending Saturday, April 26.

Understanding the contract status of every Cardinals player is important to every armchair general manager. "ambill10" offered up this information for every position player, as he did for the pitchers previously. Here is the link to the new thread: "Contract Breakdown - Field Players".

In the thread entitled "OF OPS", "cardsfan914" offered three different potential lineups upon the return of infielder Brendan Ryan from the disabled list.

An interview with the Cardinals principal owner, "Bill DeWitt Interview, Likes Direction Of Farm System", led to some excellent discussion about the Cardinals minor leagues from the likes of "BeauHeart", "bccran" and "MagnoliaCardsFan" among others.

Our two daily logs of everything happening on the major league and minor league levels in the Cardinals system continue strongly. For the April 18 minor league thread, "Minor League Games - Friday, April 18th" the discussion was still going two days later. "easton714" provided a quick scouting report of the Friday and Saturday Quad Cities games.

The Post of the Week is actually about six of them. "easton714" followed the above thread with a detailed scouting report on multiple River Bandits position players and pitchers. "Easton714's 2nd Annual Quad Cities – Fort Wayne Scouting Report" more than lived up to its promise, hence this well-deserved recognition.

In recognition, "easton714" is our winner of "Post of the Week". He collects a free four-week subscription extension to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
