Here is the link to the Message Boards, of which there are several – for fantasy players, insider information for subscribers, general topics, non-Cardinals sports and more.
This article covers the week ending Saturday, May 31.
On the fifth page of a thread devoted to the emergence of Cardinals outfielder Ryan Ludwick, "SkinnyPimp" offered a very interesting statistical comparison of fellow outfielders Skip Schumaker and Chris Duncan. The thread is called "2 HANDS FOR MY BOY!!!".
"ambill10" is interested in the three rookie pitchers on the St. Louis Cardinals, Mike Parisi, Kyle McClellan and Chris Perez. Before starting a poll on which of them is the most exciting to watch, "ambill10" also provided a paragraph summarizing the contributions and strengths of each in the thread, "Young Pitchers, Polished Results".
The challenges the Cardinals face at the major league level in sorting out their 2008 rotation presently and for the remainder of the season is a subject that "BeauHeart" tackles in the thread he titled "pitching hierarchy". "Beau" puts the starters into groups to better forecast where they may all end up in terms of the starting five.
Our Cardinals message board "Poster of the Year" in 2007, "CariocaCardinal", continues to make frequent contributions. He kicked off a new thread looking at an upcoming roster space crunch with the short-season teams getting underway soon including roster forecasts by team and a section on implications of this coming week's draft here: "EST, Short Season Teams, and Draft Implications".
In recognition, "CariocaCardinal" is our 137th winner of the "Post of the Week" recognition. He collects a free four-week subscription extension to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.
Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
