The Cubs scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to make things interesting but the Cardinals were able to hold on to even the best of three series at one game apiece.

Batavia Muckdogs (SS) - Thumped by Jamestown 13-4
The Jammers would then put runs on the board in three separate innings to go up 6-1 going into bottom of the sixth. The Muckdogs put a run on the boar before Jamestown exploded for six runs in the top of the seventh to pull away.
Starter Zachary Pitts was charged with three runs in 4.1 innings. Muckdog ace was knocked around for eight runs in 1.2 innings. The outing raised Nieto's ERA by over a full run.
Sedbrook finished the night with three hits, two RBIs, two runs scored, and a stolen base. Peterson put up another multi-hit night, his seventh in his last ten games.

Minor League Pitcher of the Day - Shaun Garceau
In a must-win game, the Palm Beach right-hander came up big. The 21-year-old gave up only two runs in 6.2 innings enabling the Cardinals to even up its' series with Daytona.
Minor League Player of the Day - Colt Sedbrook
Batavia's scrappy shortstop collected three hits and drove in two runs though the Muckdogs were unable to clinch a playoff spot.
