Games Not Played Saturday

Batavia Muckdogs (SS) - Rained Out

The Batavia Muckdogs will have to wait another day, before clinching their first New-York-Penn League Championship. Game 2 of the New York-Penn League Championship Series between the Batavia Muckdogs and this season's arch nemesis, the Jamestown Jammers, was postponed due to rain Saturday at Dwyer Stadium, the home of the Muckdogs.

The Muckdogs will have a chance to capture the first title in the 51-year history of the franchise when the best-of-3 series resumes Sunday at 6:05 p.m. ET. Game 3, if necessary, also will be in Batavia on Monday at 7:05 p.m.

At the deadline this morning, it looks like a lot more rain in Batavia today, so tonight's game will likely be postponed as well.

Jermaine Curtis hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning Friday night as Batavia pulled out a 4-3 victory in the series opener at Russell Diethrick Park, snapping the Jammers seven game winning streak.
