Hawaii Winter League

 

Final stats:

Tony Cruz (Palm Beach) batted .330 with ten doubles, one triple, 11 RBIs, 41 total bases, nine runs, .371 OBP, .373 SLG, and a .837 OPS in 24 games.

Jim Rapoport (Springfield) batted .250 with two doubles, two home runs, eight RBIs, 30 total bases, 11 runs, .340 OBP, .341 SLG, and a .681 OPS in 27 games.

 

Blake King (Palm Beach) made 13 relief appearances posting a 4.86 ERA, picking up one hold, and blowing two save opportunities.  He allowed 14 hits, nine earned runs, one home run, 19 walks, and striking out 16 over 16.2 innings.

Eduardo Sanchez (Quad Cities): Followed Weffer and pitched one inning.  Allowed one hit, two unearned runs, and struck out two.  (ground out-fly out: 1-0)

D'Angelo Jimenez (Memphis-free agent): Started at third base and batted 8th.  1-for-4 with one home run, two two-out RBIs, one run, and one strikeout (looking).  Jimenez had a fielding error in the 3rd, letting the runner get on base and later scoring.

 

Luis Perdomo (Springfield): Did not pitch for Aguilas.

Nick Derba (Palm Beach) walked with the bases loaded, driving in the only run for Sincelejo in the second game.

Former Cardinals prospect Adam Daniels held Barranquilla to three hits and picked up the win in the second game.

Sincelejo and Barranquilla split the doubleheader.

Puerto Rican League

 

Bryan Anderson (Memphis): Started at catcher and moved to first base in the seventh, batting 8th.  1-for-4 at the plate.  Had one stolen base on him behind the plate.  (Runners left in scoring positon with 2-outs: 1)

P.J. Walters (Memphis): Started and pitched three innings.  Allowed five hits, five runs, (four earned), two walks, hit one batter, had one balk, struck out five and picked a runner off second base en route to his first loss in league play.  (ground out-fly out: 2-1)

Luis Mateo (Johnson City) and Yadier Molina (St. Louis-December): Did not play for Carolina.
