Phoenix beat Mesa 10-4 for the AFL title: link


Mexican Pacific League


Hugo Castellanos (Memphis-free agent): Entered in the seventh and pitched two innings.  Allowed one hit, no runs, and one intentional walk.  (ground out-fly out:3-3).


Former Cardinals' prospects Mike McCoy and Reid Gorecki combined for a 1-for-9 day.


Obregon scored one run in the bottom of the ninth to beat Navojoa 3-2: link

Obregon (13-24) host Navojoa (18-19) Sunday @ 5:00pm MST.

Francisco Rivera (Quad Cities): Still on the Culiacan disabled list.

Jason Motte (St. Louis): Tentatively expected to pitch for Hermosillo.


Veracruz Instructional League (Mexico)


Friday's game:

Joe Rogers (Memphis): Started and pitched one inning.  Allowed no hits or runs, one walk, and struck out one.

Minatitlan pounded Tuxtlas 10-1: link

Venezuelan League


Luke Gregerson (Springfield): Did not pitch for Margarita.

Margarita was doubled up by Caracas 6-3: link

Jose Martinez (Springfield) and Jose Rada (GCL): Did not play for Aragua.

Aragua @ Zulia was postponed for Saturday due to rain: link

Cesar Izturis (St. Louis-free agent): Expected to join Lara in the coming weeks.

Mark Worrell (Memphis): Tentatively expected to join Zulia.


Venezuelan Parallel League


Friday's game:

Juan Lucena (Free Agent): Started at third base and batted 2nd.  1-for-3 at the plate.

No Cardinals' prospects played.

Dominican Republic League


Amaury Marti (Memphis): Started in left field and batted 5th.  1-for-4 with two RBIs and two strikeouts (looking and swinging).

Luis Perdomo (Springfield): Did not pitch for Aguilas.

Ex-Cardinal Julian Tavarez was tagged with three hits, six runs, four walks, and one home run in his latest start for Aguilas.

Colombian League


Playing for Barranquilla (10-13):

Donovan Solano (Springfield) is batting .361 with ten doubles, one home run, 11 RBIs, 21 runs, 43 total bases, .518 SLG, and .470 OBP in 23 games.  He has committed six errors while playing shortstop.

Alexander Castellano (DSL): Had no change in stats from last posting.


Playing for Sincelejo (10-12):

Nick Derba (Palm Beach) is batting .182 with two doubles, six RBIs, three runs, 12 total bases, .218 SLG, .292 OPB, and 17 strikeouts in 20 games.  He has committed five errors behind the plate.


Davis Bilardello (Palm Beach) has made 11 relief appearances posting a 1-1 record and 6.58 ERA.  He's allowed 12 hits, seven runs (six earned), five walks, and struck out five over 8.2 innings.

Pete Parise (Palm Beach) has made ten relief appearances posting an 0-3 record and 3.91 ERA.  He's allowed 21 hits, eight runs (four earned), five walks, and struck out seven over 9.2 innings.

Adam Daniels (Lincoln-A.A.) has made five starts posting a 2-0 record with 1.92 ERA.  He's allowed 13 hits, seven runs (six earned), one balk, eight walks, and struck out 25 over 28.1 innings.  He has committed one error in those five starts.

Ryan Bird (Instructional): Had no change in stats from last time posted.


Puerto Rican League


Rigoberto Lugo (Batavia): Did not pitch for Santurce.

Santurce scored one run in the bottom of the ninth to beat Mayaguez 4-3: link


Bryan Anderson (Memphis): Started at catcher and batted 8th.  0-for-2 with one sacrifice.  Two stolen bases were taken against him.

Luis Mateo (Johnson City), P.J. Walters (Memphis), and Yadier Molina (St. Louis-December): Did not play for Carolina.


Former Memphis Redbird Robinson Cancel went 2-for-4 with one RBI and even stole a base on Anderson, for Ponce.


Carolina gave up the winning run to Ponce in the bottom of the tenth, losing 3-2: link
