Hugo Castellanos (Memphis-free agent): Did not pitch for Obregon.
Former Memphis Redbird Reggie Taylor drove in two runs.

Francisco Rivera (Quad Cities): Still on the Culiacan disabled list.

Joe Rogers (Memphis): Did not pitch for Minatitlan.
Former DSL Cardinal Alexander Francisco allowed three hits, no runs, two walks, and struck out seven over 7.1 innings for Minatitlan.

Cesar Izturis (St. Louis-free agent): Did not play for Lara.
 
Luke Gregerson (Springfield): Entered in the seventh and pitched one inning.  Allowed one hit, no runs, and struck out one.  (ground out-fly out: 2-0)

Jose Rada (GCL): Entered in the fifth and pitched 1.2 innings.  Allowed three hits, three earned runs, one home run, and struck out two.  (pitches-strikes: 28-18) (ground out-fly out: 2-1)
Jose Martinez (Springfield): Did not play for Aragua.
Aragua scored four in the eighth and held off Caracas for a 12-11 victory: link

Ex-Cardinal Ron Belliard drove in one run for Licey.

Ex-Cardinal Timo Perez went 3-for-4 and stole one base for Licey.

Licey jumped out in front with Mart's two-run home run and squeaked by the Gigantes 7-6: link

Luis Perdomo (Springfield): Did not pitch for Aguilas.

Ex-Cardinal Julian Tavarez gave up seven hits, six runs and a home run and picked up the loss for Aguilas.

 

Former Springfield Cardinal Juan Richardson went 2-for-3 with a two-run hoem run for Estrellas.

Ex-Cardinal Fernando Tatis went 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI for Estrellas.

Aguilas made a comeback but gave up the game in the sixth and lost 9-5 to Estrellas: link

Sincelejo manager Dann Bilardello was tossed.

Sincelejo reliever Davis Bilardello (Palm Beach) gave up two runs.

Barranquilla beat Sincelejo in both games.  7-1 in the first and 5-2 in the second game.
Cartagena beat Monteria 2-1 in the first game and 5-4 in the second: link

 

Team Renteria is doing a look back at some of the past All-Star games.  Today they covered the 2001-02 game which honored former Memphis Redbird Jolbert Cabrera. Current Baltimore Orioles' closer George Sherrill picked up the win pitching for Cartagena: link

Cardenales de la Unica (6-6) is scheduled to take on San Isidro (0-12) in a doubleheader Sunday.


Jen Argenal and his family are pleased with their agreement and signing with the Cardinals (financial terms not released).  He was courted by several teams, but the one main reason for signing with the St. Louis Cardinals was Albert Pujols.  Argenal is a fan of Pujols.  Also included is a quote from the Cardinals scout Christian Blanco: link
