Arizona Fall League

 

Daniel Descalso (Memphis) started at second base and batted second.  0-for-4 with one RBI, one run, one walk, one sac fly, one stolen base, one fielding error, and assisted in one double play.

Daryl Jones (Springfield) started in right field and batted sixth.  1-for-5 with one run and three strikeouts and was picked off.

Gary Daley (Springfield) entered in the fourth and pitched 1.2 innings.  He allowed one hit, no runs, and struck out two. (p-s:28-17)(g/f:2-1)

 

Surprise beat Phoenix 6-5 in 11 innings

Reynier Gonzalez (Johnson City-Aragua) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed two hits, no runs, and struck out one. (g/f:1-1)

Gerardo Mambell (GCL) started at second base and moved to first, batting second  3-for-5 with one run and one walk.

Hector Garcia (VSL) started at third base and batted fourth.  2-for-4 with two RBIs, one strikeout, and one error.

Gerwuins Velazco (VSL) started at catcher and batted fifth.  2-for-3 with one double, two RBIs, one run, one walk, and three errors.

Yorbel Alcala (DSL) started at first base and batted sixth.  2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Jhoan Villegas (Free Agent) entered in the fifth and pitched 1.2 innings.  He allowed one hit, no runs, one walk, and struck one out.  (g/f:3-0)

Deimer Bier (VSL) entered in the seventh and pitched 3.1 innings.  He allowed no hits or runs, and struck out three for the winning decision (1-0). (g/f:2-5)

D'Angelo Jimenez (Former Memphis-Licey) started at first base and batted eighth.  1-for-4 and assisted in two double plays.

 

Yasser Gomez (Cuban Free Agent-Estrellas) started in right field and batted second.  1-for-4 with two RBIs and grounded into one double play.

Juan Richardson (Former Springfield-Estrellas) started at third base and batted fourth.  1-for-3 with one two-out RBI, one run, one walk, and one strikeout.

Fernando Tatis (Former St. Louis-Estrellas) started at first base and batted fifth.  1-for-4 with one home run, two two-out RBIs, one run, and two strikeouts.
