Arizona Fall League

 

Daniel Descalso (Memphis) started as designated hitter and batted second.  2-for-5 with one run.

Mike Parisi (Memphis) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed three hits and one earned run for the winning decision (3-1). (p-s:50-35)(g/f:10-5)

Hugo Castellanos (Former Memphis-Obregon/Mexicali) has made 18 relief appearances posting a 3-1 record, 3.15 ERA, two holds, and one save.  He's allowed 21 hits, eight runs (seven earned), hit four batters, walked five, and struck out 11 over 20 innings.
Andy Cavazos (Former St. Louis-Guasave) has made 11 relief appearances posting a 1-1 record, 13.50 ERA, and two holds.  He's allowed 20 hits, 15 runs (13 earned), one home run, 12 walks, and struck out 15 over 8.2 innings.

Reid Gorecki (Former Springfield-Navojoa) has played in 18 games going 19-for-69 (.275) with one double, one triple, one home run, eight RBIs, 25 total bases, 14 runs, seven walks, eight stolen bases, 13 strikeouts, one caught stealing, .350 OBP, .362 SLG, and .712 OPS.

Kit Pellow (Former Memphis-San Andres) has played in five games going 4-for-21 (.190) with two doubles, two RBIs, two runs, two walks, six strikeouts, .286 SLG, and .292 OBA.

Alexander Francisco (Former DSL-Cordoba) has made four starts posting a 1-3 record and 8.82 ERA.  He's allowed 26 hits, 18 runs (16 earned), nine walks, hit two batters, and struck out 11 over 16.1 innings.

Jon Jay (Memphis-Caracas) has played in 30 games going 39-for-118 (.331) with nine doubles, one triple, one home run, 21 RBIs, 53 total bases, 27 runs, 13 walks, four stolen bases, 14 strikeouts, three caught stealing, .424 OBP, .449 SLG, and .874 OPS.

Marcos Rodriguez (Former Palm Beach-Caribes) has played in 20 games going 7-for-32 (.219) with one double, five RBIs, eight total bases, five runs, one walk, eight strikeouts, .229 OBP, .250 SLG, and .479 OPS.

Orber Moreno (Former Memphis-Caracas) has made 13 relief appearances posting a 2-0 record and 1.93 ERA.  He's allowed 11 hits, three earned runs, one home run, five walks, and struck out 18 over 14 innings.

Cesar Valera (GCL) started at shortstop and batted third.  2-for-4 with one double, one RBI, one run, and one hit by pitch.

Hector Garcia (VSL) started at third base and batted fourth.  1-for-5 with two RBIs.

Yorbel Alcala (DSL) started at catcher and batted sixth.  2-for-4 with one double, one run, one walk, and one strikeout.

Limbert Rivas (VSL) started at first base and batted seventh.  1-for-3 with one walk, one sacrifice, and one strikeout.

Gerardo Mambell (GCL) started at second base and batted ninth.  2-for-4 with two RBIs, one run, one walk, and two errors.

Jonathan Escudero (MiLB Free Agent) entered in the fourth and pitched 2.1 innings.  He allowed two hits, no runs, one walk, and struck one out.  (g/f:1-5)

Carlos Oraa (VSL) entered in the sixth and pitched 1.2 innings.  He allowed no hits or runs, two walks, and struck out two.  (g/f:2-0)

 

Anthony Fonseca (VSL-Caracas) started in left field and batted leadoff.  0-for-2 with two runs, two hit by pitches, and one stolen base.

Ronnierd Garcia (MiLB Signing) started at third base and batted sixth.  1-for-3 with one run, one walk, one stolen base, and two errors.

Francisco Guzman (VSL) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed seven hits, one earned run, one walk, hit one batter, and struck out five. (g/f:3-6)

Romulo Ruiz (Johnson City-Aragua) started at first base and batted ninth.  0-for-2 with two walks and one strikeout.

Jonathan Gonzalez (Quad Cites-Zulia) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, no runs, and one walk.  (g/f:1-0)

 

Julio Castellanos (GCL Free Agent-Leones) entered in the eighth and pitched two innings.  He allowed two hits and one unearned run. (g/f:5-0)

Tony Cruz (Springfield-Estrellas) started at catcher and batted eighth.  0-for-2 with one walk, one strikeout, and grounded into one double play.

Kelvin Jimenez (Former St. Louis-Estrellas) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit and no runs. (g/f:3-0)
