Arizona Fall League

 

Daniel Descalso (Memphis) started at second base and batted second.  0-for-4 with one walk and one strikeout.

Daryl Jones (Springfield) started in right field and batted seventh.  1-for-5 with one run, three strikeouts, and one fielding error.

Bryan Anderson (Memphis) started at catcher and batted eighth.  0-for-3 with one walk, one strikeout, grounded into one double play, one passed ball, and allowed four stolen bases.

Jem Argenal (VSL) started in right field and batted fifth.  2-for-4 with one run, one stolen base, and one strikeout.

Alberto Rivero (GCL) started in centerfield and batted eighth.  1-for-3 with one RBI and one error.

Johnny Polanco (VSL) entered in the fifth and pitched two innings.  He allowed three hits, no runs, one walk, and struck out two.  (g/f:2-1)

 

Margarita beat St. Louis 8-2 on Monday

 

Ildemaro Vargas (VSL-Caribes) started at second base and batted leadoff.  2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

Roberto Perez (VSL-Caribes) entered late in the game as a pinch hitter, batting eighth.  Was hit by a pitch and scored.

 

Lara beat Caribes 10-6 on Monday


Domnit Bolivar (Quad Cities-Aragua) entered late in the game at shortstop, batting leadoff.  1-for-2 with one run, one strikeout, and two errors.

Omar Diaz (GCL-Aragua) entered in the sixth and pitched two innings.  He allowed one hit, one unearned run, and struck out three.  (g/f:2-4)

 

Aragua beat Venoco 6-1 on Monday

 

Reynier Gonzalez (Johnson City-Aragua) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed three hits, one earned run, three walks, and struck out five for the winning decision (3-1). (g/f:3-5)
