Mike McCoy (Former Memphis-Culiacan) started at third base and batted second.  1-for-4 at the plate.

Ivan Bellazetin (Former MiLB Spring Invite) and Xalapa beat Joe Rogers (Former Memphis) and Cosamaloapan 5-4.

 

Francisco Rivera (Palm Beach), Kit Pellow (Former Memphis), and San Andres lost to Minatitlan 6-4.

 

 

Venezuelan League

 

Orber Moreno (Former Memphis-Caracas) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed three hits and two earned runs. (p-s:18-13)(g/f:2-1)

I exchanged messages with Eduardo Sanchez (Springfield-Aragua) and he said he might make his 2009 winter league debut on Friday.  I am sure if he will pitch in the Parallel League to start or make the jump into the LVBP.

Yadel Marti (Cuban Free Agent-Licey) entered in the sixth and pitched 1.2 innings.  He allowed two hits, one earned run, and struck one out for the hold (1).  (g/f:2-2)

Oneli Perez (Memphis Free Agent-Licey) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed two hits and no runs for the save (13).  (g/f:0-3)

Juan Richardson (Former Springfield-Estrellas) entered late in the game as a pinch hitter and took over as designated hitter, batting fifth.  1-for-1 with one double.

Kelvin Jimenez (Former St. Louis-Estrellas) entered in the third and pitched 2.2 innings.  He allowed three hits, no runs, and struck out one.
