Mexican Pacific League


Iker Franco (Former Springfield-Obregon) started at first base and batted sixth.  1-for-4 with one home run, one RBI, one run, and committed one fielding error.

Alexander Francisco (Former DSL), Ricardo Rincon (Former St. Louis), Felix Jose (Former St. Louis), and Cordoba lost to Santa Rosa 10-9.

Santa Rosa visits Cordoba, series tied 2-2 in a best of five.



Venezuelan League


Marcus Rodriguez (Former Palm Beach-Caribes) started in right field and batted fifth.  0-for-4 with one strikeout.

Roberto Espinoza (Quad Cities-Caribes) started at catcher and batted ninth.  1-for-3 with one run, grounded into one double play, and allowed one stolen base.

Pedro Rodriguez (MiLB Signing-Caribes) entered in the eighth and pitched to three batters.  He allowed one hit, no runs, and threw one wild pitch.  (g/f:0-2)(ir-s:1-1)

Julio Manon (Former Johnson City-Azucareros) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, no runs, and struck out two.

Juan Richardson (Former Springfield-Estrellas) started at third base and batted fourth.  0-for-4 with one strikeout.


Ron Belliard (Former St. Louis-Licey) started at first base and batted second.  0-for-0 with one RBI, two walks, and one sacrifice.

Amaury Cazana (Memphis-Licey) entered late in the game as a pinch hitter and batted fourth.  He walked in his only at-bat.

Randy Keisler (Former St. Louis-Licey) entered in the fifth and pitcher a third of an inning.  He allowed one hit and no runs.


Licey beat Estrellas 11-0

Escogido @ Gigantes was postponed due to rain and will not be made up.  The game will not have an effect on the outcome of the round robin tournament.

Nicaraguan League


Gustavo Martinez (Former GCL-Managua) has a 2-2 record, 0.82 ERA, and eight saves.  He's allowed 18 hits, two earned runs, eight walks, and struck out 20 over 22 innings.


Edgard Montiel (Former DSL-Granada) has played in 20 games going 5-for-18 (.278) with four RBIs, three runs, one walk, and four strikeouts.

Puerto Rican League


Carolina @ Arecibo was postponed.  The Arecibo players are not being paid their wages and decided not to play. The players did not receive any money for playing on Friday, Saturday, or Monday. Primera Hora


Mike Maroth (Former St. Louis-Mayaguez) started and pitched 5.1 innings.  He allowed six hits, one earned run, three walks, threw one wild pitch, and struck out three for the winning decision (2-0). (g/f:8-4)


Prentice Redman (Former Memphis-Ponce) started in left field and batted third.  2-for-3 with one double, one run, one walk, one throwing error, and one outfield assist.

Pete Parise (Memphis-Ponce) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs, one walk, and struck out one. (g/f:2-0)


Mayaguez beat Ponce 6-1


Carlos Delgado (Mets Free Agent-Carolina) still has not given a date on when he will debut, but January 2nd is being speculated as when he'll make his first appearance: Primera Hora
